Senior high zones were the end of the road for area volleyball teams.

On November 15 and 16, three area schools competed at two different zones. Kinuso School girls and boys teams competed in Westlock. Roland Michener School Rams boys competed in the 2A North Central Zone in Mayerthorpe.

Kinuso School Knights girls did the best of the three teams. They just missed out on a medal.

“The girls lost a very close bronze medal match and placed fourth,” says Kinuso coach Landon Fink in an email.

The Knights boys placed seventh.

In the 2A North Central Zones, Rams boys played the host team Mayerthorpe in the quarter finals. They lost the first game 25 to 20 and the second 29 to 27. This made them in the top six in the zone.

Ram girls didn’t go to zones.

Junior high volleyball ended several weeks ago.
