Terry Barber, world-renowned performer, will be coming to the Stage North stage at the Legacy Centre on Thursday, January 16. He’ll be singing the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, who’s responsible for the music of some of the biggest hits on Broadway such as “Phantom of the Opera,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “School of Rock,” “Evita” and “Cats,” which was recently released as a movie.
As a countertenor, Mr. Barber’s tremendous vocal range allows him to sing parts written for both men and women.
Terry Barber has sung on some of the most prestigious stages in the world, such as the Metropolitan Opera and the Carnegie Hall in New York City, the Svetlanov Hall in Moscow and the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. He’s been featured in the recordings of the Grammy Award winning group, “Chanticleer.” He’s also a voting member of the Grammy Awards.
Terry’s sung on albums with Madonna, Cindi Lauper, Chaka Khan, Steve Smith and many more and he’s going to be performing here in Slave Lake on Thursday, January 16. Doors open at 6:30 with his performance starting at 7:30.
