Slave Lake RCMP on the hunt for female shoplifters

Leader staff

Slave Lake RCMP are looking for help in tracking down two women who stole items from two Slave Lake stores last month. In both cases, the women simply walked in, grabbed some merchandise and walked out without paying. In both cases, security camera images show the suspects.

The first incident was Nov. 8 at the Slave Lake 7-11 store.

“At approximately 8:00 p.m., the female entered the convenience store and removed medication, food and beverage, then left without paying for it,” says the RCMP release.

The suspect is described as being in her late 30s, wearing a black zip-up sweater, black leggings, black fur boots and having black hair.

The second incident was at a downtown Slave Lake liquor store, on Nov. 17. This time (5:30 p.m.) a woman in her early to mid-20s entered the store, grabbed a 60-ounce bottle of Royal Reserve whiskey and left without paying. The woman is described as having red hair and wearing grey leggings and a black hoodie with a colourful logo on the front.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Slave Lake RCMP at 780-849-3999.
