Sept. 2 COVID-19 update: second case in Slave Lake area

As of Sept. 2, 2020, there is a second active COVID-19 case in the M.D. of Lesser Slave River. This M.D. includes Slave Lake, Smith, Hondo, Chisholm, Flatbush, Marten Beach, Wagner, Widewater, Canyon Creek, and Assineau.

Nearby, there is also one active case in Wabasca, two in Athabasca County, and two in Westlock County.

The AHS North Zone covers the northern half of Alberta from Jasper to Cold Lake up to the Northwest Territories border. This includes many communities.

Across the North Zone, there are 167 active cases, 765 recovered, and 30 people have died from COVID-19. This makes a total of 962 cases.

The next scheduled COVID-19 update will be Friday, Sept. 4.
