Moses Garaba, the principal of Lakeside Outreach School in Slave Lake, is heading to Zambia, in Africa in a week or two. He’d like to take some school supplies home with him to help out kids in rural areas of his home country.
“Kids need pencils and they can’t get them,” he says.
Pencils, erasers, pens, small notebooks. He’d like to take more and bigger supplies too, but he doesn’t think it’s feasible. So a couple of boxes of light supplies will suffice.
The Leader has agreed to collect the supplies. Drop them off at our office at 103 3rd Ave. NE (just behind the Rexall), between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
