Our man in Ottawa

Peace River-Westlock Member of Parliament Arnold Viersen took the necessary steps to become properly installed as an MP in Ottawa on Nov. 18. This entails participation in a swearing-in ceremony, taking an oath of allegiance and signing a ‘Test Roll’, per the 1867 Constitution Act.
“I am honoured to be re-elected,” said Viersen, in a news release sent out on the day of the ceremony. He vowed to continue fighting for northern Alberta’s three main economic sectors, “for firearm ownership, freedom of speech, thought of religion and conscience. Freedom from child exploitation and human trafficking.”
