December 1, 1931 – May 22, 2018
Bud was born on December 1, 1931 in Kinuso, AB, the youngest of 11 children to Jesse and Nellie Sloan.
Bud is survived by his loving wife Viney of 67 years, along with their two sons Anthony and Kevin, one brother Lawrence, and daughter-in-law Lynda. He also leaves behind his six grandchildren; Terilyn (Mike) Ames, Andrea (Dion) Poitras, Thomas (Laurell) Sloan, Lisa (Mike) Young, Jeff Sloan, Stephen Sloan, and his nine great grandchildren Mikayla, Brayden, & Graisyn Ames; Sadie & Blaise Poitras; Bentlee & Knoxin Sloan; Mackenzie & Chloe Young.
Bud was predeceased by his son Terry in 2007 along with his nine siblings over the years.
For those who had the pleasure of knowing Bud, we can say with certainty that he was a hardworking, sociable man who always enjoyed being active and always wore a smile. He especially treasured time spent with his family and found immense joy in his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bud will be remembered for his kindness and great sense of humour. When he wasn’t smiling or laughing he was whistling a cheerful tune.
