The final costs on the 5th Ave. NW road re-hab project in Slave Lake are in and look pretty good.
Town council heard the report on it at its Feb. 4 meeting.
What council heard was that although the project took quite a bit longer than expected, it ended up $16,353 under budget. There are still a few minor things to be finished off, but they are not expected to change that figure.
The total project cost was $1.568 million.
One reason for the delay in finishing the job – which started in 2018 – was the uncertainly with regard to the plans of the Regional Housing Authority on a new housing complex.
