This just in from Jill Shepherd, Town of Slave Lake community program co-ordinator: summer programs are going swell!
“Summer Splash is going really well, we do have space left in the remaining weeks but are starting to fill up,” she says.
“The playground program is also going really well, we unfortunately had to cancel last week because of the weather but are hoping for sunshine for the rest of the days. Parents and children are welcome to join us at Schurter Park on Tuesdays 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. for activities, if the children are over six years old they are welcome to come on their own for a ‘come and go as you please’ program (not full on supervision like Summer Splash).”
Shepherd adds, “The activities each week are based around our weekly theme, the schedule can be found on our website www.slavelake.ca.”
