On Wednesday, September 12, the Lesser Slave Lake Regional Arts Council (RAC) will be hosting a wreath making and mala bracelet workshop. The RAC has partnered up with Frankie Giroux from Frankie’s Frickin’ Flowers and Jen Knutt from Grace and Rhett.

The workshop costs $60 per person and is filling fast. To participate contact RAC president Megan McNeil via the Council’s Facebook page, Lesser Slave Lake Regional Arts Council.

The workshop will have a cash bar and be serving finger foods.

On October 26 RAC will be holding a Halloween movie, night entitled screamfest, at the Legacy Centre. McNeil says one movie will be family-friendly and the other will be a scary movie more suitable for teenagers and adults.

The event is by donation and there will be free candy for the kids.

McNeil adds kids are encouraged to dress up and brings pillows, sleeping bags, and blankets for comfort.

McNeil says the RAC will soon be holding its annual planning meeting to discuss events and activities for the year. She adds if anyone has any ideas to recommend the RAC to try they can send them via the Facebook page.

If anyone would like to join the Art Council they can contact McNeil also through the Facebook page. Events for November and December are yet to be decided, but McNeil says they are most likey going to be some kind of Christmas craft. McNeil recommends following the councils Facebook page and their Instagram. page artscouncil_rac.
