HPSD shuffles its supervisors

High Prairie School Division has appointed three supervisors for the 2018-2019 school year, states a news release from HPSD.

Julia Drefs has become the supervisor of curriculum.

Brennan McDonald was named supervisor of inclusion.

Michelle Downing takes on the role of supervisor of instruction.

Drefs has been with the school division since 1992, most recently as curriculum co-ordinator after she served as division mentor-coach for six years until 2014.

In addition to teaching at both High Prairie Elementary and Prairie River Junior High School, Drefs has four years of administration experience as vice-principal at PRJHS for one year, followed by three years as principal.

McDonald has served with HPSD since 2004, and moves from supervisor of education, inclusion after one year.

Prior to that, he was an inclusive education co-ordinator.

He was principal at Prairie River Junior High School for two years and has three years of experience as a vice-principal.

Downing has been the division inclusive education co-ordinator in the school division for the past two years.

Prior to that, she was the division facilitator of curriculum assessment and intervention and an inclusive education coach.
