‘Deeds Well Done’ season again at Mr. Mike’s

A local restaurant is looking for nominations in a program it calls ‘Deeds Well Done.’ There are cash rewards for both nominating someone and for being the winning nominee.

“The community has to nominate a person, or a business or a non-profit organization,” explains Mr. Mike’s general manager José Diaz. “It goes from November 12 to December 31.”

Deeds Well Done has been going on since 2013, with all 44 Mr. Mike’s from across Canada participating. Diaz says it is meant “to encourage people to think of the importance of the holiday season.”

So if you know someone who has been doing good deeds and helping make the community a better place to live, now’s your chance.

Everyone who participates will receive a $25 Mr. Mike’s gift certificate. And one of the nominees will receive a $500 donation.

So….how to nominate someone? Online, says Diaz, at mrmikes.ca/deedswelldone.

If you’re not comfortable with doing things online, or don’t have the means, drop by the restaurant, says Diaz, “and I can help.”
