Ball hockey kids go undefeated in city

For the Lakeside Leader

On Saturday, June 8, we took five of our ball hockey kids to Edmonton for the Street Hockey Showdown hosted by United Cycle.

The Puck Monkeys played short-handed with only one extra player. In spite of this limitation, they played hard, including having to play through the rain. But the sun came out and they went on to go a dominating 6 – 0.

We’re looking forward to the Reed Churchill Memorial Tournament in July (see story below)to see how we match up there.

L to R: Wyatt Wentworth, Eric Martin, Jake Courtorielle, Gage Romanchuk and Drake Conrad.
