It’s pointless to talk about the weather, maybe. But it’s hard not to when it’s been raining hard for over 24 hours and the wind is blowing off branches and knocking over trees on fences and powerlines. Not to mention the odd creek overflowing its banks. It doesn’t take much around here to go from ‘It’s too dry!’ to ‘It’s flooding!’
Again, there’s probably been enough said on this topic by now, but we’d like to put in a word for the emergency responder people, the municipal and provincial people and the responders to power failures who were all putting in very long hours during the worst of the wind and flooding last week. There were glitches here and there, but on the whole, it seems the response was pretty well handled on all fronts.
