A group of Roland Michener high school students can check off ‘confined space training’ on their CVs, after going through a course put on by the Lesser Slave Lake Regional Fire Service earlier this month. It’s part of a ‘Job Prep’ module the kids are taking at school.
“Students are very excited and eager to learn these skills,” says teacher Bruce Turnbull. “A huge thank you to Chief Coutts and his crew for continuing to support this program.”
The program was free for the school and included a lunch. Turnbull says it was the largest group to date to take the training – 42 students.
