Sharks swim meet report

On July 21 17 Slave Lake Sharks attended the High Prairie Swim Meet.

In the boys 14 and under 200 medley relay and the boys 14 and under 200 free relay Dawson Taylor, Colby Cyr, Gryffin Taylor and Ethan Baril got first place.

Dawson Taylor won a gold medal and swam four personal best times. Grace Auger won a silver medal and swam three personal best times. Gryffin Taylor won a bronze medal and swam two personal best times. Colby Cyr won a silver medal and swam four personal best times. Ethan Baril won a gold medal and swam one personal best time. Angele St. Louis-Cardinal won a silver medal and swam four personal best times. Darcy Garratt won a silver medal and swam one personal best time. Kaden Becker swam three personal best times. Janelle Cardinal swam three personal best times. Jorgia Green swam one personal best time. Javannah Maganes swam three personal best times. Leanne McLeod swam four personal best times. Kellen Tissink swam two personal best times. Ahlora Vekved swam three personal best times.

Mia Vizcarra swam one personal best time. Maggie Wilson swam two personal best times.

In the girls 10 and under 100 medley relay was Janelle Cardinal, Grace Auger, Maggie Wilson and Leanne McLeod received second place and first place in the girls 10 and under 100 free relay.

For the boys 12 and under 200 medley relay and the boys 14 and under 200 free relay Jagger Green, Kellen Tissink,Gryffin Taylor and Kaden Becker got first place.

Eleanor Friesen of the Slave Lake Sharks attended Alberta Summer Games and swam personal bests in all of her swims:

In 100 breast she placed seventh, 100 fly sixth place, 100 free tenth place, 50 breast ninth place, 50 fly sixth place 800 free 6th place and in girls 12 to 13 free relay Friesen placed sixth.

The next and final swim meet of the season is July 28 in Peace River.

Regionals is August 11 and 12, in Grande Prairie and provincials is August 18 and 19 in Edmonton.
