Slave Lake’s Parent Link centre has been open in its new location for some time, but it needed an official ‘christening,’ and that happened on Nov. 10, when Minister of Children’s Services Danielle Larivee attended, cut the ribbon and made some remarks on the program.
“As a mom and former public health nurse, I know the importance of creating an environment in which children grow and thrive. The Slave Lake Parent Link Centre, in this great new space, offers the kinds of support that help make that happen. This is the kind of place where any parent would love to bond with their child and encourage their development.”
Parent Link offers programs for parents and pre-school kids. It is located in the former medical clinic building on 3rd Ave. NE in Slave Lake.
Doing the honours
