Loosening up

Spring training started for minor baseball in Slave Lake earlier this month and the numbers are looking pretty good. Kevin Campbell of that organization says SLMB is hoping to field provincial travel teams in five divisions, which hasn’t happened in a while, if ever. Mosquito, Pee Wee and Bantam entries in the Pembina League are also expected. The Bantam ‘AA’ team kicks things off at a tournament in St. Albert May 6 and 7. Play in all divisions starts in early May. Pictured above are Aiden Blocka and Hunter Mouallem working out in the field house on a Wednesday evening.
