One of the accused in the Nicole Robar murder case has been convicted and sentenced. Warren Kyle Warren of Spruce Grove received a life sentence in prison.
Warren is one of three accused in the murder and subsequent disposal of the body of the Spruce Grove woman – crimes that took place in Slave Lake in August of 2017.
Robar’s body was found floating in the Lesser Slave River. The cases of a female and male co-accused of Warren’s have yet to be dealt with by the courts.
The news of Warren’s conviction comes courtesy of the Slave Lake RCMP, who have been following the case. The convction was handed down in Peace River.
Like Robar, Warren is from Spruce Grove; so is one of his co-accused, a woman. The third person accused in the case is a Slave Lake man.
There were two separate crimes (at least) committed against Robar. The (possibly unintentional) murder is just one of them. Not all three accused were charged with exactly the same things. The Slave Lake man faces charges of kidnapping, forcible confinement, assault causing bodily harm and extortion.
