That’s right folks, Slave Lake’s community newspaper has a talent for showing up in the unlikeliest of places, and here’s another photo to prove it. The view is from the top of a Mayan temple in the Yucatan region of Mexico. More specifically, it’s Ek’Balam, Yucatec Maya archaeological site in Temozon, Yucatan, Mexico. The pyramid is 31 metres tall. Holding the newspaper is Lindsay Weetman from Slave Lake and taking the photo is Tammy Leslie. The pyramid is believed to date to around 100 B.C., or if you prefer, BCE.
