The Slave Lake Rotary Club is gearing up for some big events in the next few months.
Rotary Club member Harry Bartlett went through some of the upcoming events.
The Rotary Club will be doing a event called the 777 car raffle, on June 2, 2018.
It will take place at the Slave Lake Multi-Rec Centre.
“The event is 52 per cent sold out,” says Bartlett adding that in the past week people have been on a ticket buying frenzy.
The idea behind the draw is the last ticket pulled can choose between three different cars to choose from Ford, Dodge or Chevrolet. There will also be another 13 draws with a total price value of $14,000.
The event will have a banquet and dance with cash bar. There will also be a 50/50 raffle.
The dinner will be served in the lobby and tables to eat at will be in the arena.
Tickets for the event are $100 per person and all money raised will go towards other projects and events the club supports.
Tickets can be purchased from any Rotary member.
Another thing that will be going on soon is the Rotary club’s play off hockey pool which Bartlett said is already 74 per cent sold out.
Tickets are one for $10 or three for $25 and can be bought by calling Bartlett on his cell at 780-805-0482 or by visiting Alimos Pizzeria in Slave Lake.
The NHL playoffs start April 11.
Entries have to be handed in before then.
