Farewell potluck party

On Friday, October 12 the Lesser Slave Lake Bird Observatory (LSLBO) threw a farewell potluck party for three dedicated and talented staff members who are moving on from the LSLBO to start some new adventures. Although they aren’t leaving Slave Lake yet, the season is winding down and LSLBO thought it was great opportunity to celebrate all that they have done for the centre/observatory and to wish them good luck and say thank you!
(From left to right) Richard Krikun who has spent 15 years as the LSLBO bander in charge and station manager, Nicole Krikun who has spent 10 years as the assistant bander, owl program lead, and weekly article author for the Lakeside Leader and Michelle MacMillan who has spent three and a half years as the boreal educator with the Lesser Slave Forest Education Society.
MacMillan is heading back to Ontario and the Krikuns are moving to Sherwood Park, Alta.
