Man fined $400 for missing court
October 25, 2017
Judge G.W. Paul
Roland E. Belleveau appeared in court via closed circuit television from Edmonton Remand Centre (ERC) and pled guilty to one count of failing to appear in court. According to provincial Crown Attorney Hayden Shook, Belleveau was ordered to appear in court in 2016 stemming from an incident that happened almost a decade ago. Shook didn’t have a direct answer as to why Belleveau was needed to attend, but said in any case didn’t show up for the docket appearance. Judge Paul imposed a fine of $400 plus a victim fine surcharge.
