Judge G.W. Paul
Mark Clayton Levy pled guilty to one count of shoplifting under $5,000. Provincial Crown Attorney Jordan Lenett told the court that Levy was caught stealing a bag of beef jerky earlier this year in August.
“Police responded to a complaint of a shoplifter at the Sawridge Truck Stop,” said Lenett. “Officers responded and found Mr. Levy, intoxicated, in a vehicle; during a search on his person, police said they located an empty bag of beef jerky.”
Witnesses said they saw Levy kneel down in front of the beef jerky stand, grab one and leave without paying. Judge Paul imposed a $200 plus a victim fine surcharge.
