Atoms at Rogers Place

Members of the Slave Lake Atom ‘A’ Thunder salute the crowd at Rogers Place on March 17. The Thunder were invited to take part in a ‘shoot-out’ between periods at an Edmonton Oil Kings game on that day. Coach Al Beaulac says the boys – who also got to watch the game – suited up and took turns trying to score on Thunder goalies Grady Beauchamp and Jerzie Green. Each attempt was displayed on the Jumbotron, says Beaulac. “It was a pretty cool experience. The kids were very excited.”
The group included Jace Broadhead, Liam Dierker, Carson Maitland, Josh Barore, Jonas Lillo, Jacob Derksen, Koltin Davis, Jerzie Green, Damian Hill, Cayden Tanghe, Grady Beauchamp and Jayce Beaulac. Looking after them were coaches Al Beaulac, Gordie Dierker and Andrew Maitland.
